Minutes from the November 30, 2011 Harding Club Meeting

The evening saw a decent turnout of club members and former club members. The latter group being represented by a
young  old member turned salsa magnate; Bobby Gropper, who brought his father-in-law with him that night (Mr.  Wolf, a young man of 97 years, who hails from Poughkeepsie via Poland). At 8:pm-sharp John Weisman called the meeting to order. John acknowledged the warm and gracious letter addressed to the club by Al Gelb's daughter, Cheryl, thanking club members for their show of support during the recent funeral for Al's wife Addie, which was held at Temple Beth-El on November 23rd. Al was very pleased to see his old friends and wanted to thank the club for presenting him with a Warren
G. Harding baseball cap. Our thoughts go out to Al and his family at this time.

Club president Dan Ashley rose to announce that the long postponed Gala Event will now take place on February 28th at the
Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel - provided that there is sufficient interest in this husband/ wife event. The scheduled  speaker from the Ettinger Law Firm being unable to deliver his presentation that evening , the floor was turned over to Les Muldorf, who announced that he would be  organizing a Harding Club photo exhibit of original photography done by club members. Les invited one and all to submit to him any photos they deem especially interesting and/or artistic. Slides are acceptable too.

Finally, Dick Schwed volunteered to tell a joke.

Red Ticket: Marvin Klenosky

Blue Ticket: Sandy Bernstein

 Respectfully Submitted: Peter Albenda

 MORE ADDITIONALLY and very important…..

Please send pictures for the Picture Show and display that Dr. Muldorf (former distinguished HC President) is creating for a
future meeting.  His email is lesm1974@mac.com.  Jpeg (computer speak) format via the internet, slides (he has the equipment to scan these into the computer file) or photos (Les will scan them into the computer file) are acceptable.  I understand the good Dr. might include some Root Canal photos from within; for those who are dentally challenged.

That’s it for now.

John Weisman, VP in Jupiter (Florida that is).

Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah (one of many spellings), I hope you and your families have a great time and PLEASE eats a LOTALOTKAS.
